About Us
Amormino Machining & Design Inc. was founded by Phil Amormino. Phil learned the art of machining from his Father, Joseph Amormino, when he was back in high school. He was head of production at Micro-Vu Corporation in his early twenties. He quickly became the head of shop production and while there he also invented a through the lens surface illumination system for bench top optical comparators. Prior to opening Amormino Machining he spent four years as a machinist working on nuclear submarines for the Department of the Navy. Amormino Machining & Design Inc. opened its doors in 1986. Originally doing primarily job shop and machine repair work, we expanded into designing and building machines and machinery for all types of industry in the North Bay Area. We have taken on the design and building of machines and equipment that never existed before and have a high rate of success in making our customer’s unique projects a reality.
